About

The Madden NFL Computer Game Franchise is a computer simulation of American Football, licensing real National Football League players and teams – it is named after John Madden, a former player and commentator who licensed his name for use in the Computer Games and took part in some of the creation of it.

The IAFL Shamrock Bowl Simulation is what happened after the Irish American Football League inputed all the data for the 2008 IAFL Shamrock Bowl players into the game and played a simulation of the Shamrock Bowl. Dublin Rebels beat University of Limerick Vikings 25-14

About

The Irish Fantasy League of American Football was set up in 1994 with 5 teams. By 1997 it had grown to 8 teams, with the top 4 teams playing in the Lombardi Conference, and the newer or less established teams playing in the Madden Conference. There was promotion and relegation between the Conferences, and no playoffs.

The League expanded to 10 teams in 2002, and went back down to 8 teams in 2006, with a decision to make the League a single division. The League lasted until 2015, when the Comissioner retired.

Water Polo was invented in Scotland in the late 19th Century and has been played in Ireland since the early 20th Century. Its’ heydey was in the 1960s when Ireland Qualified for the European Championships.

St. Vincent’s of Glasnevin, Dublin, have been the dominant team in Irish Women’s Water Polo for the last three years, winning all their league matches every year.
