About

The Madden NFL Computer Game Franchise is a computer simulation of American Football, licensing real National Football League players and teams – it is named after John Madden, a former player and commentator who licensed his name for use in the Computer Games and took part in some of the creation of it.

The IAFL Shamrock Bowl Simulation is what happened after the Irish American Football League inputed all the data for the 2008 IAFL Shamrock Bowl players into the game and played a simulation of the Shamrock Bowl. Dublin Rebels beat University of Limerick Vikings 25-14

About

The Irish Fantasy League of American Football was set up in 1994 with 5 teams. By 1997 it had grown to 8 teams, with the top 4 teams playing in the Lombardi Conference, and the newer or less established teams playing in the Madden Conference. There was promotion and relegation between the Conferences, and no playoffs.

The League expanded to 10 teams in 2002, and went back down to 8 teams in 2006, with a decision to make the League a single division. The League lasted until 2015, when the Comissioner retired.

Cambridge won the Final against Ghetto Birds in 2014. In 2015 Ireland beat France 11-9 in the Final, going through the tournament undefeated. In 2016 Sequel went 6-0 defeating Mixed Veg 15-9 in the Final and in 2018 Quartet from Dublin beat Reading 15-8 in the Final.

The Golden Cup is the oldest International Ultimate Competition held in Ireland. It features 16 teams dividedcd into 4 groups of 4 with Round-Robin marches follwed by a knockout phase.

The Jarnsvenskan 2016 was held in Jarnboas in Sweden on the 3rd-4th June 2017

Teams representing Ireland, Germany, Sweden & Latvia entered the Tournament which was won by The Wild Geese from Dublin, Ireland. Ireland’s Gallowglass finished eleventh [1].

About

Jugger is like a cross between American Football and Medieval Combat. It is a team Sport where the objective is to get a skull from the middle of the field into a zone at the opposing teams end. There are five players on each team, four of whom are paired off fightning each other with padded weapons such as swords.

When a player is ‘killed’ in these fights he has to kneel down and is out of the game for that particular round. The Fifth person is the Qwick. His job is to get the skull from the middle of the field past the opposing Qwick into a zone at their opponents endzone. He can only advance the skull once the other teams fighters are all dead. The team which scores the most skull touchdowns is the winner.
